Upward I flew, with feet off the ground,
Chasing the clouds, without a sound.
Paper boats on puddles wide,
Skipping stones with the changing tide.
Laughter echoed in summer air,
Butterflies caught without a care.
A breeze that carried dreams so high,
As kites and murmurs filled the sky.
Small hands reached for the unknown,
A world of wonder, mine to own.
In every swing and every leap,
The freedom of childhood, mine to keep.
