PART II — THE PENDANT WITH THE MESSAGE
At dusk the next day, she heard it — a small tap, almost polite, against her front step.
Another green box.
Inside lay her Tyger Eye Pendant, the one she wore on the same night she lost the hoop. The same night she made a choice she still carried like a weight.
Her fingers brushed the stone.
It felt warm — held, not found.

Beneath it, another note:
Stop pretending it disappeared. You left it.
Heat rose to her face. Because that part was true — she had left something that night. She’d left in fear, full of hurt and anger after the argument. She’d stormed out, dropped things, abandoned things, said things she couldn’t take back.
But no one knew the details.
No one had been with her.
And yet… someone was returning everything she lost.

She followed the footprints the box left behind — into the woods.
They ended at a small clearing.
Waiting on a fallen tree trunk: another Stanza box.
Inside was nothing but a note:
Come finish what you started.
And suddenly she knew exactly where she had to go.
