We’ve always believed that jewelry has a life of its own.

Not in a mystical way — but in a very real, practical one. The moment an idea turns into a sketch, and a sketch turns into metal, it starts telling you what it wants to be. Our job has never been to take over or control that energy. It’s to listen. To respond. To let the piece become itself.

And then, sometimes, to gently intervene.

Tame isn’t a word you expect to use for jewelry. Until you design a necklace full of instinct, movement, and wild beauty — and learn where to let it run, and where to guide it.

That was Wild Heart.

It Arrived With Opinions

From the very beginning, this necklace had momentum. The first sketches were bold, almost impatient. Radiating lines everywhere. A heart that felt like it was already mid-beat, leaning forward.

Someone on the team laughed and said,

“This one’s not waiting for permission.”

We liked that. A lot.

The design was loosely inspired by Wild Nights – Wild Nights! — that burst of wanting, urgency, clarity of desire. The poem doesn’t explain itself. It doesn’t soften its edges. It knows what it wants, and it says it plainly.

Wild Heart felt the same way.

When Energy Runs Ahead of You

The first prototype was exciting to look at. On the table, it was powerful. But once someone put it on, the conversation changed. The necklace was way too overwhelming.

John, our production manager, paused, and said:

“If this were a person, I’d tell her to take a breath.”

That was the moment we realized something important. Energy is compelling, but only when you can move with it. Otherwise, it starts to wear you instead of the other way around.

So we didn’t shut it down. We didn’t strip it back to nothing. We just… slowed it slightly.

Learning Where to Step In

We widened the spacing between the radiating patterns. Just enough to let the lines breathe. Not to calm it completely — just to give it rhythm instead of noise.

This is the part people don’t always see. Design isn’t about forcing an idea into submission. It’s more like a conversation. You push a little. You pull back. You see how it responds.

That’s what “taming” looked like here — not domination, but cooperation.

The Heart Had to Move

The center heart went through a few quiet debates of its own. Early versions felt symbolic, but static. We knew it needed motion — not decoration, but pulse.

When we introduced the moissanite cluster, everything shifted. Suddenly, the heart didn’t just sit there. It moved visually. It felt alive, like a heartbeat you can see.

That was it.

Love, instinct, vitality — they aren’t neat concepts. They speed up, slow down, surprise you. The heart needed to do the same.

Why It Ended Up With Two Sides

The dual-sided design wasn’t planned. It came from real wear tests and real moods.

Some days, everyone reached for the textured side — expressive, charged, unapologetic. Other days, the reaction was different.

So we gave it another way to exist. A smooth, understated back. Same form, different energy.

Because people aren’t consistent — and they shouldn’t have to be. Some days call for instinct. Others call for restraint. Often, both.

What We Didn’t Change

By the end, the necklace was calmer — but not fully tamed.

The energy stayed.

The openness stayed.

The poem stayed close.

Wild Nights – Wild Nights! isn’t about excess. It’s about clarity. Knowing what you feel and refusing to make it smaller for comfort.

Wild beauty works a bit like a horse. You don’t erase its nature to make it beautiful. You learn how to work with it. You guide without breaking spirit. You allow strength to move with direction, not against it.

That’s the balance we aim for. Every time.

In the End

Each piece has its own story to tell. We don’t write it for them — we just help them find the shape it wants to take.

Wild Heart taught us that sometimes the most beautiful thing you can do isn’t to let something run free, or to hold it tightly — but to meet it halfway.

And listen.

Sincerely yours,
Stanza

ABOUT | BEHIND THE STANZAs

Where ideas sparkle, and jewels are born.

Welcome to the messy, sparkly middle of it all. This is where designs are born, names are debated over coffee, stones get picked (and rejected), and every piece finds its meaning. We talk craft, chaos, color palettes, and the "wait… what if we try this?" moments.

It's the story before the story—because beautiful things don’t just appear. They’re made with heart, hands, and a whole lot of gold.

Come for the craft. Stay for the poetry. We call it Stanza for a reason.
